Frontpage Form Input/output Problem.

:) First, I'm very new at setting up a frontpage form on a website, but here is what is happening.

The site has all pages made with FP and the frontpage extensions are loaded on the server. I've submitted a generic html form generated by front page as a test. The form was put on the site using cuteftp. When I try and enter very basic info iinto the form this is whats returned by the server:

The requested URL /--WEBBOT-SELF-- was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What is happening?

I really don't know enough to be able to figure out what this means, so the second part of this is to ask if theres a good on-line tutorial about how to place and retrieve info from a form.

I hope I'm giving enough info to get some tupe of answer, but if not please let me know what else I need to add. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am not an expert but I think that if you use FP and have the extentions installed on the server then you MUST upload via FP's http method and not upload using ftp.

Since the FP xtentions are corrupted I think you need to re install the extention via the Cpanel... Hope this helps. :) ..DougFront

FrontPage Extensions

Warning: It is recommended that you DO NOT install FrontPage Extensions on your account unless you intend to publish your site directly from the FrontPage application.

Uninstalling the extensions from the main domain will uninstall the extensions from all subdomains and addon domains. Uninstalling will also remove all .htaccess files in your web root (public_html). You must have the extensions installed on the main domain before they can be installed on any subdomains or addon domains.

Installing or uninstalling FrontPage Extensions will result in the loss of all .htaccess files in your web area. Any directories you have protected with WebProtect will become unprotected until you reprotect them
