Guest Jon Hacking Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 1) Is TCH still accepting FP sites? Mine is built with FP & depends on the FPSE for the automatic link-bar generation (mostly). My (wonderful) old host sold out to nitwits, so I'm looking for a host with FPSE support. Current site (svOcelot.com) is 1GB & takes ~30GB/mo, so not big by your standards. 2) How long will TCH continue supporting FPSE? My site has 1,000 pages, so I really need some semi-automatic way to manage link-bars. 3) Can TCH provide any help with migrating my site off FPSE? For instance, is there a library (or something) where I could define my site's page structure (hierarchy) in a single (xml?) file, & then have a series of routines (JavaScript?) that would generate nav-bars or (even better) fly-outs? I'm a programmer, so can do some work, but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if possible. I realize that FPSE is a pain for hosting companies, but I haven't found an easy migration path & I'd love some help. Thanks! -- Jon Hacking s/v Ocelot Quote
TCH-Bala Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I am sorry, but we do not provide or support Front Page as it has been made EOL several years back. In tune with cPanel dropping it from their configuration, we too have removed it from our servers http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/faq/support-frontpage.html Quote
carbonize Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Jon FrontPage was always horrible when it was active but, as Bala says, it is no longer being supported by anyone. What exactly is it your site needs it for as it's possible someone could help ease the transition. Quote
Guest YouNeverKnow Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 My site youneverknow dot com has been hosted by TCH for Many years now and my site was built with FP. Could someone please explain how it is still hosted here? Thanks, youneverknow Quote
TCH-Alex Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I have checked your domain youn****know.com and can find that it contains only basic html files, not really using any FrontPage components. You only used FrontPage to publish the site and hence the site is working fine. As of now, you can edit the site through the option HTML Editor in cPanel => File Manager or can try any other web development tools, as you wish. Quote
