Andrew Posted January 13, 2003 Share Posted January 13, 2003 I'm looking for a good how-to guide for PHP and MySQL. I've never used either, but they seem to be exactly what I need. I want to create a set of pages with questions and answers -- that is, each page would have a question, the question's author, an answer, and maybe a date or a callout. Rather than create dozens of separate pages, I'd like to create a simple flat-file database with fields like "question," "answer," "callout," etc. When someone clicks on the question, PHP/MySQL would take a standard HTML "template" and populate it with the appropriate entry from the database. I know HTML very well, but haven't a clue how to use PHP or MySQL. (Many tutorials I've found tell you what to enter on a command line, but our interface seems to be Web based.) Any suggestions?
