I'm curious. I'm trying to put HTML5 video on my page. I added ogg and webm video formats up, but I'm not getting any responses from the server. I'm wondering if these content-types are supported by TCH. Does anyone know or can confirm?

Thanks!

It might be too early for HTML5; I don't think all the browsers support it, especially IE which most people use!

ALL modern browsers support it including IE9. The only issue we have is Microsoft refusing to support the WebM codec and giving some lame excuse as to why. Just remember to have a fall back such as Flash.

I realize that this is an old thread, but since I am finally getting around to experimenting with the HTML5 video element, I thought that I would add my comments here instead of starting a new topic.

I did some testing this weekend, and finally got it to work in all browsers with a fallback flash version for browsers that don't support HTML5 video.

The video was originally in .avi format, and in converting it to the various formats used by the different browsers, I had to experiment with different codecs in order to make it all work.

Here is a link to the page with my HTML5 video test.

I agree with Carbonize. While html5 may be prefereable, flash is by far the most commonly used whne it comes it video. That way you know everyone will be able to see your video as well without problems.
