papillon Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 hi, i usually use outlook to get the email, but then the emails are deleted from the server, so i cant read them trhough webmail. is there any way to change this in the configuration, so that the messages remain in the server and i can access them by webmail, even if they have already been downloaded with outlook? thanks Quote
stevesh Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 This is for Outlook Express, but I think Outlook is the same. Tools - Accounts - Properties - Advanced Tab At the bottom is 'Leave a copy of messages on server'. Quote
OJB Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Another option instead of using POP3 to access your email with outlook is to use IMAP. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Welcome to the forums papillon If you do as OJB suggests and switch the account over to use IMAP you will be reading off the server instead of downloading it to your PC. Then it would remain available through webmail. Quote
papillon Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 thanks for the replies! i will try the suggestions as soon as i install outlook again (formatting HD right now) thanks! Quote
