It's Time I Ask For Help

Recommended Posts

I put a big file (~123 MB) in the root level of the public_html folder. I named it deena.zip

It is a bunch of zipped pictures from a college graduation that I took from the grandstands.

Anyway, I thought I could send someone to www.mysite.com/deena.zip and they could download it.

I opened a ticket, and the techs can download it, but I cant from 3 different computers.

I can download other files from the root, but not this one.

The files permissions are 644 so the world has read permissions.

Unless something else is blocking the .zip extension or the file size is a factor, I am stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.

OK, that was it. I feel really stupid now because several years ago, I would have known this. Too much work in Windows I guess.

It starts the download correctly when I use the right capitalization.

Thanks for your help.

And by the way, I was just referencing it on the URL without a link.

Thanks again.
