Extreme Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Anyone have any reccomendations for a web based calendar? It can be either html or php, but needs to have an easy to use interface for the site im working with. I would prefer the calendar run of database support so that the calendar admin/mod will just be able to access the interface and then input what is needed. Then the program or script would input to the database and update the displayed webpage. these are the 2 I was looking at, but am interested in anyone here has a better option. http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/index.php http://www.calendarpad.com/ Also, any free options would be awesome too Quote
stevesh Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) I use this on a couple of sites - it's not bad, and it's free: http://www.k5n.us/webcalendar.php I have also embedded Web-based calendas from Google and 30boxes on sites, but the styling options are very limited. Extreme Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 this looks promising. I am the only coder and web-lacky on the site. Will this be easy for a computer "user" to understnad? Basically i provide the framework and the moderators and main admin run the site. I am 2nd in command of this site as webmaster. PI just need to verify that it has an "ease of use" feel for them Quote
Extreme Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) Where is this at? I dont see this... Help Topic: CalendarThe calendar can be used to post events for other members of the community to see. It also lists each member's birthday. To access it, click the "Calendar" tab at the top of any page. Edited May 16, 2010 by Extreme Quote

I know people who can work magic with a very complicated program like Excel, who won't even try far simpler software becuase 'it's too confusing'. Probably the only thing you can do is install it and show them the admin section. It seems pretty easy to me. Quote
Extreme Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 valid point. Im actually curious to look at the calendar on here, but cant find its link Quote
