Reducing Measurement Font Size

I am writing recipes. A couple of measurements like 1/2 and I think 1/4 automatically reduce in font size instead of staying the same font size as the rest of the sentence. What do I have to do to make all of my fractions automatically show up as "fractions" rather than the number/number?

I can only assume you are using MS Office, which means you need to adjust the automatic formatting settings. If so, just follow the instructions at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP100822971033.aspx#1 or just hit the F1 key while in Word and search for the word "fractions".
