JoleneC
Issue #1 (not a promising start, eh?) My logo won't load properly. I get the "red X" *gasp*. Help desk instructed me to upload the logo to my public html files, and then insert it into my welcome page. Did this, still the red X. Insert swear word of your choice here. Issue #2 My guestbook will not allow me to post. I've checked the admin panel over, everything seems to be in order, but I get an error message anyways. Something like "invalid entry". Ayman_
Ok, here is the file that the red X is looking for http://www.lilithboadicea.com/cooltext7978563.gif Did you upload cooltext7978563.gif to your public_html folder?
JoleneC
Yep, it is under logo.html
Ayman_
But even still... http://www.lilithboadicea.com/logo.html that is still looking for the file cooltext7978563.gif So you have to upload the file cooltext7978563.gif
JoleneC
Now how do I do that? Rename it?
Ayman_
Im not sure. You can see the file on your computer? Like when you view your homepage you dont get a red x? If so, then you need to locate cooltext7978563.gif and upload it. My shift is over at 11pm, but im back at 8am, so I will check on your progress then. Just in case the midnight guy gets busy. The busiest shift for us support people is the 11pm-7am shift if you can believe that!
JoleneC
Heck, I believe it. It's the only real website building time *I* get, because that's when the children are in bed. Whomever answers this, keep in mind you are dealing with an HTML idiot. Speak slowly. Use small words. Assume I know nothing, or at least very little. I can see the logo in my HTML editor, and it works properly when I preview the page through the internet. But when I load it to my site, either on my main page or to it's own page, I see only the red X.
JoleneC
Hot damn! I've got it on the web. Just let me do some tinkering, I'll figure out how to get it into my page. Thanks!
JoleneC
Done. Yippee! Now, on to the guestbook. The error message reads: One of the input fields does not seem to be valid. Any ideas?
Arta
Oh the guestbook, I had the same issues Ayman ended up resetting it for me a couple times..but I'm sure it was user error now that i've given it some thought (sorry Ayman ) check your settings regarding message length... do you have them set to a minimum of 6 words and maybe testing it with only 2 or 3 words? I had that problem once after Ayman reset it for me...but I didn't tell him cause I felt silly (not sure if it was the same deal the other times though..) JoleneC
No, minimum message length is 6 characters, no minimum word length, max character is 15,000. I wrote a couple of sentences, as an intro. Maybe Ayman can check wazzzup with mine?

JoleneC
I've spent years on message boards, so I've got plenty. That one seemed the most appropriate for this forum. Edited October 2, 2003 by borfast
