Samrc Posted August 10, 2003 Posted August 10, 2003 I made a quick reference for all CSB users and posted it here: http://www.samisite.com/color/ The CSB palette is very small so I expanded it and identified the hex codes for each. Also made a second version of the page that allows you to see the 256 text colors against all 256 background colors, matching the CSB Trellix palette. Choose a background color then scroll to see which text colors work well against that background. Found other charts that do the same kind of thing, but they did not use the CSB palette to do it. http://www.samisite.com/color/changecolor.htm -Samantha Quote

Samrc Posted August 11, 2003 Author Posted August 11, 2003 Just revised the second page based on a request I received. I got frustrated because when I looked up colors on other posted charts, I could not correlate it to the CSB palette. Now I have a page I can quickly reference, and keep working. Hope others find it helpful too. Think it has the potential to be very useful. -Samantha Quote
jslagle Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I got frustrated potential to be very useful. Dear Frustrated, There is no question about "potential." It IS useful Quote
Samrc Posted August 13, 2003 Author Posted August 13, 2003 Thanks Jim. Lou is working on another style CSB color chart that may be of more use than mine in the long run. Ironic, for years I waited for someone else to do it, now suddenly my chart spurs people on! If I had known that would happen, I would have drafted a really yucky piece years ago so someone would already have a really nice reference in place http://www.ussrankin.org/test/id72.htm I have asked permission from someone to modify a special chart that is well known on the web. If I get permission, it will be a very nice CSB resource... just waiting to hear back.... shutup I figure I have a 50-50 chance - even made a sample for him to see what I want to do to his chart. If not, I will come up with some other way to present that information. -Samantha Quote
TCH-Sales Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Nice work! Here's another way to get the color codes, by adding a bookmarklet to your browser! Quote
jslagle Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Nice work! Here's another way to get the color codes, by adding a bookmarklet to your browser! Thanks for the link. Sam's table is especially useful for CSB users since Globalscape uses the decimal numbers instead of hex in their internal tables. Quote
