Can anyone point me in the direction of a good free or inexpensive firewall that will work on a 64 bit vista machine?????

Whats wrong with the Firewall that came with Vista? Can't get any cheaper then that.

Well I tried Comodo for 3 days now. I must say that it is one of the most bloated naggy firewalls I have ever seen. It is to bad the old Kerio firewall is not around any longer. All well on with some more searching!!!!

Don´t know what you mean with "inexpensive" (ie how much you are willing to pay for it) but we have run Kaspersky on a Vista computer at my place for a long time with no problems.

I know JTD and he wants FREE. But then why not when there are plenty of FREE alternatives that suit the home users needs precisely. And in the case of Open Office far exceeds the paid for alternative :)

Well actually free is very limited when it comes to vista 64 bit as i am finding out. Right now I am trying out a trial version of outpost firewall. So far so good. And It does not annoy you with nag screens. It actually learns from the computer after you install it. Without nagging which is a BIG plus in my book.
