rick02840
I am working on a client's new site who will keep DNS elsewhere, with MX Record pointing to their current email provider, and the A Record will eventually be pointed to the new site, which I hope to host at tch. My question is this: Do I need a plan that has it's own IP address in order to point the A Record to it, or is there a way to point an A Record to a site at TCH that does not have a unique IP address. Sorry I am not real swift on how DNS works.
TCH-Bruce
Please open a ticket with the help desk and they will be happy to help you set it up so it works correctly. Link above or in my signature.

As Bruce said, the helpdesk will help you out with the specifics. But no, you don't need a unique IP address for it to work. A regular plan will work just fine.
