General Email Server Question

Recommended Posts

I have a client trying to set up their PDA - Verizon service. The PDA is a Samsung i760 PDA

Verizon is trying to assist the setup and wants to know whether the osurce for e-mail is a corporate exchange server (I'm assuming they mean MS Exchange server?) or some other e-mail provider.

What do they need to know? I'm not finding the answer to this question after trying to search for what is used as email server services.

Woop - forgot which section I was looking in when I posted - please move to appropriate forum category

It would be 'some other email provider' rather than exchange.

They would just need the domain name ( they can use that for the POP and SMTP service, Or with mail. on the front ), the email address ( to be used as the username ) and the password.
