OJB Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Has anyone had any experience with online PHP tutorials? I am currently looking for some tutorials so in my spare time I can learn more but when you type PHP Tutorials into google you get hammered with a lot of results. I was just wondering if anyone had used any that they would recommend as being easy-to-understand or helpful in anyway? Any links would be fandabulous!!! Cheers OJB Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) One that have been recommended here in the forum before is the tutorial from tizag. Another one is w3schools. And don´t forget the tutorials in the Client Written Tutorials section. Edited August 17, 2007 by TCH-Thomas Made an addition Quote
OJB Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 thanks thomas... the w3 school one I was tempted by but wanted to see if there were any standout ones before cracking into that cheers! Quote
TCH-Don Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 To be honest a web site is no substitute for a good book. I struggled for a long time trying to learn PHP on line. When I bought a book it was like a light was turned on. A web site cannot go into as much detail as a book. I started with Sams teach yourself PHP in 24 hours and still use it as a reference. I did the same thing with HTML, a book gives you so much more insight. Quote
Guest kevin_lee Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 w3schools is best for php beginners. try this link: http://www.phptutorial.info and also refer this one http://www.freebookcentre.net/Web/Free-Php-Books-Download.html Quote
