Ok so I am wondering what some of you use for copying folders and subfolders to a dvd.

I am looking for a little program that will copy, i.e., a PHOTOS folder, including all the subfolders like, summer06, xmas06,

vacation06, etc, and keep the same hierarchy.

thanks :)

I use Nero also.

But you may have all you need already. Most PC's come with a "burning ROM" already loaded if your PC came with a CD or DVD drive. If so you can use Windows Explorer to just drag and drop the folder onto the CD/DVD and it will copy everything as is with sub-folders and folders.

But I perfer Nero :)

Nero has come with every DVD burner I have bought

and it is better than other programs I have tried.

It also has a nice backup program for using DVD's as the storage.

Nero is bloated these days. I recently started playing with free DVD burning software. CDBurnerXP hasn't been updated since 2004 so doesn't work on Vista but apparently they have a new version out soon. I currently use Free Easy CD DVD Burner but it's not without it's bugs. Like getting the file size wrong when making discs.

Anyway the best free one I have found is ImgBurn. I was surprised to find that it not only burnt any type of disc image but also let you create discs on the fly. Damn powerful as well.
