TCH-Thomas
The only "path" thing I would think a script may ask for when it comes to databases are localhost. Apart from that, you should not need to enter a path to be able to connect to a database, but you would need to create the database and enter the database settings in to the script, such as the user, database name and password. Here is some great instructions from Don regarding databases.

TCH-Bruce
I'm not sure why there have been a few script installation problems lately but if you need help with the script a link to where you got the script from might help get you going. TCH-Dick
Unless you are connecting to a remote server the setting should be "localhost".
newmannewy
A link to where you got the script from might help get you going. It worked in the root of the domain in a folder using localhost .. But i wanted to stick it in a subdomain, for various reasons.
