Guest Melanie Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Hi, I've purchased a domain and would like to purchase a web hosting package (starter plan) When I try to purchase it comes back a) Please use a valid domain name your email address or password is invalid [/u] I wrote to support and they came back with retrieving my password, when following instructions I get this: WARNING: Your email address could not be found and your access from xxx has been logged. I purchased the domain name 2 days ago from totalchoice, I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I even tried purchasing the web hosting package as a new user and it's saying that the domain name is invalid. Any suggestions? Thanks so much Melanie Quote

TCH-Andy Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Hi Melanie, welcome to the forums. The domain name and hosting are separate, so you will need to purchase the hosting as a "new" client, and you will get a different login and username for the hosting side. For the domain name, just put "yourdomainname.com" ie, don't put a http:// in front of it, or www, or anything else, just the domain name. Quote
