First let me say "sorry" if this is not the correct area to post this... this is my first post! :)

Also, please let me say "thanks!!" in advance!!

Ok... now down to business.

Problem in a nutshell is that I CANNOT receive email ! However, I CAN send email ! So I'm 50% there!

The details :

- I have Outlook 2003

- I want to setup this email account : support@myweb.com

- I have configured it like the following :

----------------------------------------------------------------

Email Address : support@myweb.com

Incoming Mail server (POP3) : mail.myweb.com

Outgoing Mail server (SMTP) : mail.myweb.com

"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" (This IS checked)

Username : My TCH username!!

Password : My TCH password!!

-----------------------------------

You are probably wanting to say... "Why are you using your TCH username & password??? It should be

your EMAIL name & password ie... support@myweb.com

Problem is... it WILL NOT accept any other username & password... only my TCH one!

Weird huh? So what am I doing wrong here?

Thanks!

Two accounts with the same pw should not have any impact-I have done it many times on these servers. Maybe you inserted a typo, blank space inadvertantly in the 1st pw.

I know you are up and running, but this is a graphical representation I made for clients on setting up Outlook:

Also, there were some POP issues on server 59 today if that is where your account is.

Welcome to the forums phi148

"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" (This IS checked)

Username : My TCH username!!

Password : My TCH password!!

Your Username for SMTP would normally be the email address webmaster@myweb.com and not the TCH username. The password would be the password for the webmaster account. But if you have it working fine.
