imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I'm waiting for my son to give me grand kids, but right now he's in Iraq taking care of things over there for us. If you guys would, please say a little prayer for him... ImaD Quote
natimage Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Our "monster"...his name is Strider. Got that from Lord of the Rings! He's almost 11 months old, and he's going to the vet tomorrow to get 'you know what' done. Shhh...don't tell him yet... Quote

imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I think all animals are sweeties, and then people come along and mess them all up! But you're right, Mickey looks like a loving guy..... ImaD Quote
imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Here's a sample of what a sweetheart Cleo was.... ImaD Quote
imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I know...she was the sweetest animal that I've ever known......they say dogs don't have souls, but I'm not so sure..... ImaD Quote
cmuskett Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 This is Shannon, another dog we had. He had to be put down at 11 years old The little girl with him is my daughter, who is now 25 This dog would "talk"... when my hubby would come home he would say what sounded like "hellllllloooooooooooo daddy" Quote
natimage Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Thanks, ImaD, for the compliment on Strider! Cleo definately looks like a sweetheart. I'm so sorry you've had to lose her. Bynx won't let Strider love on her...so he ends up with his mouth around her entire head. Doesn't hurt her, though!! ...and I think if something is alive, it has a bit of soul in it... Tracy Quote
imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 hahaha...yeah..I used to have a Doberman named "Hercules" who would walk up to my cat at the time and just put his mouth over his whole head. Like you said, he didn't hurt him, but it sure did irritate him! Kick Me ImaD Quote

imadsurfer Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 It gets to be really old hat....let me tell you...I've been over a million and a half miles in a bus, and after about the first half million it started to get old. Yuck! But I will have to admit that I've had tons of fun doing it as well, and it was a good living. I just sort of wish that I had taken a different path when I had the chance......but all in all, it's been good...and I've got TONS of t-shirts and tour jackets.....lol ImaD Quote
Lianna Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 I lost my buddy of almost 9 years today. She had diabetes. We'll miss her very much. This is Morgan (named after Captain Morgan spiced rum...her color was a perfect match when she was a pup). Her mother was full bred Pug and father was a Border Terrier. She was one mixed up lookin' pup! Quote
Lianna Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Here's one more. It gives a better sense of her size. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Lianna, I am so sorry. Its not easy, and there are no words to help. Later try to remember the happy moments. thats what gets me through. Quote
Lianna Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Thanks all. It's been a pretty rough week around here. At least we know that she is not suffering and that's a bigger consolation than anything. Quote
borfast Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Lianna, I hope turtle doesn't mind me posting this direct link to his site, here but I thought that (if you haven't already) you'd like to read this: http://thepetscorner.com/home/pcmemorial.h...m#rainbowbridge oops... it redirects you to the main page... click on the "Memorial" link at the top and then click the "Rainbow Bridge" link. Though I still didn't post any pictures of my cats (I have twelve!) and I never talk much about pets here, I'm a hardcore animal lover and I know how it feels to loose a friend. Like turtle said, just try to remember the good moments and she'll live through your memories. Quote
boxturt Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Oh my, I'm so sorry. She is certainly ina better place and yes, remember the good times - remember all the times If I have any beliefs about immortality, it is that certain dogs I have known will go to heaven, and very, very few persons. - James Thurber Quote
imadsurfer Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Lianna, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I can empathize with how you feel, and letting go of a friend is indeed a tough thing to do. You are looking at it in the best light, and that is that Morgan is no longer suffering, and she had a life full of love. You know her tail was waggin' as she walked up to the pearly bones! You'll always have part of her with you, and anytime you want you can close your eyes and be with her again. ImaD Quote
T-4-L Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 This is my son Paul taken 5 months before 9/11 while on a trip to New York Quote

imadsurfer Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 It's beautiful cmuskett, but it's really dark on my screen. ImaD Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Tracy, its beautiful. Very nice pic. Thumbs Up Quote
natimage Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Thanks, All! Sorry it's a bit dark ImaD. I must admit that I have a pretty high screen contrast, but it matches up well with my printer! Also, it is simply a bit of a dark image. Definately not my best shot of the day, but I do not have them all scanned in yet!! Thanks again, Tracy Quote
imadsurfer Posted June 26, 2003 Posted June 26, 2003 Hey.....everybody has their own settings....I saved it on my machine and tweaked it for my screen, and it's absolutely gorgeous. Some of those greens and blues are enough to make you shiver! ImaD Quote
