FilmBuffRich Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Got a bit of a problem here, hope you folks can help. I recently took over another person's website, adding it to mine as a subdomain. They sent me a disc with the site on it which I was able to load into MS FrontPage as a separate web, made the few changes I wanted to make, and attempted it to upload it. However, I've been getting the following error after it has loaded a page or so- "406 Not Acceptable Not Acceptable An appropriate representation of the requested resource /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe could not be found on this server. Apache/1.3.34 Server at theblobsite.filmbuffonline.com Port 80 " I have set up the subdomain to have FrontPage extensions. Any thoughts on what I'm not doing right? Quote
TCH-Don Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 In the forntpage forum you will see this is a comon problem. Just add the following line in .htaccess file in your public_html folder SecFilterEngine Off Moving to the front page forum. Quote
FilmBuffRich Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 D'oh! Sorry I landed in the wrong forum. (I blame the barbecue chicken coma I was in after the holiday weekend! ) So using FP, I looked at both the site on my harddrive and as it is on the server, and I can't seem to find a folder titled "public_html"... Where am I not looking? (I tell you, somedays you feel so smart until you can't figure something out on your own and then you feel like world's biggest dumbbell... ) Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 You need to look at your site using File Manager in cPanel. And you need to edit the .htaccess file using the File Manager. Quote
FilmBuffRich Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 That did the trick! Thanks all! I guess you really do learn something new every day! Quote
