T-4-L Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 What is wrong with this ? When I try to post on my Invision forum I get the following message. mySQL query error: SELECT COUNT(tid) as max FROM ibf_topics WHERE forum_id='1' and approved='1' and (last_post > 0 or pinned=1) mySQL error: Can't open file: 'ibf_topics.MYI'. (errno: 145) mySQL error code: 1016 Date: Tuesday 17th of June 2003 02:25:30 AM My forum is here, just click this link dude. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 T-4-L I think this means that yor SQL database is corrupt and needs to be repaired. You can try a repair from within the control panel, if that fails I would restore your last backup. Andy Quote
T-4-L Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 Sorry but I haven't got a clue where to start, it's all new to me. I've been looking around the Invision support board and came across this link. http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...showtopic=70970 Quote
TCH-JimE Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Hi, T-4-L your forum is now fixed. Enjoy posting away! Jim Quote

surefire Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Holy smokes! Is that great service or what?! Way to go Jimuni. Side note... T-4_L Please back up your database on a regular basis. There is a tutorial on it in the scripting forum at TCH. Backing up will save you tremendous stress and anxiety the day that you need it. Quote
T-4-L Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 Okay surefire no problem , but what do you mean by "on a regular basis" ? I only joined totalchoice hosting last Tuesday (7 days ago). Quote
surefire Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Depends on how vital your database info is to you. There is a script found and tested by TCH members that auto backs up your database daily. You can find it in the scripting forum. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 Do a search on dbsender and you should find it. I've been using it for a week or so and it works great. Every night it emails me a backup of my databases for my forum and blog. Quote
