TCH-Thomas Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Sorry, I just needed to vent. Thank you for listening. By the way, what´s the weather in your part of the world? Quote
TCH-Tim Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Heading home to Vegas today to a weekend of rain. But by next week we'll be back up into the 70s with sunshine. Nice. Looking forward to the 110 degree summer. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Tim and I are going to have the same weather. But after 130 some odd days of no rain I am looking forward to it. We will get enough heat real soon so I am in no hurry. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 We are at 46F but supposed to get into the 60s today here in southern Ohio. But it's raining (or has been). Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 23F and about 11 inch of snow and no sight of the end of the snowing. Quote

TCH-Tim Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Tim and I are going to have the same weather. But after 130 some odd days of no rain I am looking forward to it. We will get enough heat real soon so I am in no hurry. I'm solar powered so the more sun the better. Guess some rain is good for us, I was just looking forward to getting home and getting some kayaking time in this weekend. Suppose instead I'll be sitting inside all weekend wondering what the big announcement is going to be next week. Quote
Samrc Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Central Florida this week has been GLORIOUS! Lows in the 60's, highs between 75-82 degrees Slight breeze, clear, very few clouds, shirt sleeve temp, no humidity I even took Tuesday off to reorganize and clean my garage. Was absolutely what I needed....no office, no computer...clean fresh air and no slimy humidity. Even with the very high pollen counts (allergy ) I LOVE THIS WEATHER! Thomas you and I are polar opposites. I DREAD summer and am thankful for this spring. I feel alive and energized by the coolish air! Quote
stevevan Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I hear ya Sami! I've been working in the Orlando/Melbourne/Vero Beach area the past couple of weeks and it's been gorgeous! Even up in the panhandle it's been in the mid to upper 70's and beautiful. I love Florida! Quote
Deverill Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 81 81 82 82 80 are the temps for this week coming up. This is excellent weather. Ask me again when it's in the upper 90's and high humidity. I do know one thing - my body can't take cold like it used to so I'd be in trouble if I lived in your beautiful country, Thomas. Quote
NFreak Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 It's just started to get warm over here in IL. Today was one of the warmest days of the year even though it rained. Quote
vengavenga Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 9.15am, Southern Spain, working outside on my laptop .... perfect Should hit around 85ºF this afternoon. Ali Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Rob, you can have some of our rain. Been raining for almost a week now. It's 59 this morning and still raining. Quote
bellringr Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 You can't have our rain We're still way below normal because of last year's drought. It was beautiful and in the 60s here in IL yesterday, but we got some major storms in the evening. We drove through one on the way back from Chicago with spectacular lightning. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 We even got snow 10 minutes from my house. Don't see that in Phoenix every day. Quote
TCH-Tim Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 We even got snow 10 minutes from my house. Don't see that in Phoenix every day. We got some snow here in Vegas on the West side of town. That would be the second time in three years I've seen that happen. Quote
stevevan Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I got a sunburn this weekend refereeing at a soccer tournament just for Thomas. Quote
zilla Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 (edited) Sorry, I just needed to vent. Thank you for listening. By the way, what´s the weather in your part of the world? You want summer? I'll be happy to box it up and send it to you!!!! It's our spring but it'll feel like summer to you. Although, we are enjoying a nice cold front right now. It was in the 80-90s (Fahrenheit) here last week. Hey Bruce, why don't we do an exchange: you send us rain, I send Thomas summer, and I'll send you our drought. Edited March 14, 2006 by zilla Quote
TCH-JimE Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Hello, Here in the UK, 0C (32F?) and snowing. Outlook for the week, cold! Doh! JimE Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Hey Bruce, why don't we do an exchange: you send us rain, I send Thomas summer, and I'll send you our drought I'd say deal but it's cold again and trying to snow. Quote
cajunman4life Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I share Rob's joy in finally having rain! Although, naturally, it had to occour on my drill weekend for the National Guard... "If it ain't rainin, we ain't trainin!" Quote
Deverill Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Warmest spot in the continental US this morning here in Key West. Beautiful sunny weather, 79 & 80 expected highs all week. Currently 82 (28 C) with a 9mph breeze off the ocean. I may have to pay as much as $7,000 this next year in wind insurance and a hurricane may wipe me out later in the year, but for now it's great here. Quote
zilla Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I'd say deal but it's cold again and trying to snow. I'll take snow!!! It'll melt and make water. We haven't seen a good snowstorm in at least a decade, LOL. In fact, none of my children have ever seen real snow. Quote
perfectdreams Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Hmm, tornadoes yesterday, and today they decide to have a statewide tornado warning O.o Brilliant, I tell you, brilliant. Quote
TCH-Rob Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Warmest spot in the continental US this morning here in Key West. Bah, thats an island. You arent part of the continent, we just took you guys in so we could have vacation spots. Quote
TCH-Tim Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I suppose if you wanted to get technical you could say the Keys are just as much on the continent as the rest of us. But as far as weather is concerned, I don't think you get to group Key West in with the likes of us land lubbers. Like Rob says, we only took you guys in so we could have sweet vacation spots. And a handy place from which we could keep tabs on Fidel. Quote
Deverill Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Like Rob says, we only took you guys in so we could have sweet vacation spots. And a handy place from which we could keep tabs on Fidel. Sorry, hurricane Wilma wiped out Fat Albert. He's pretty cool to see and you can spot him from Key West on most days (about 20 miles). They say he's for drug interdiction but we know better. Quote
MikeJ Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I'd say deal but it's cold again and trying to snow. Indeed... When I came into work on Monday in Chicago it was 63F. By lunchtime it was 43F. Been mostly in the 30's and low 40's since with high winds. Quote
TCH-Don Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 We are having a heat wave 37 and the snow stopped for a few days Quote

owatagal Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 It was a balmy 8 degrees F here today. And no, I didn't forget the zero there. I did hear it might get up to 30 this weekend. Heat wave! Break out the t-shirts! Quote
stevevan Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Florida's beautiful! Low humidity, comfortable temperatures! Of course in about a month we're gonna be complaining how sticky and hot it is, and then start dodging hurricanes. Quote

TCH-Bruce Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 I agree with Don, we didn't get snow but it's only 38 degrees here today. It was 70 yesterday. Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Well at least its supposed to warm up a little on monday maybe the 60's Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 I will take 40 of those degrees to add to ours, thank you Quote
TCH-Tim Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 I've got 72. Suppose I could spare a few degrees for those less fortunate. Quote
perfectdreams Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 We're at 51, with an expected high of 59. Yesterday was mid-60's, and Thursday, we actually had to turn the AC on because it got to 80 inside. Not good for two little ones. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 Shouldn´t be summer yet, technically anyway, but... 16 degrees celsius at 10pm! Summer Quote
TCH-Tim Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 let's see....16(1.8)+32 = 60.8....could be warmer, but I'll agree it sounds pretty good. This week will see us in the mid-90's all week (with lows in the 70's) with our first 100+ day of the season predicted for Saturday. Seems summer has come a little early this year. Quote
Deverill Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Yes, please send rain to Florida. Here in Key West, any time that we don't have enough rainwater in the storage tanks they add brackish water into our drinking water and hyperchlorinate it! Yuck! If you get a bottle and put tap water into it and let it sit overnight it will smell (and taste) like a swimming pool the next day. It's been so dry lately that they even reduced the water pressure to conserve. Next they'll be telling us which days we can wash our cars. (It's happened before!) Quote
stevevan Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Plus they are having severe brush fire problems in central florida with major roadways having to be shut down. Up here in the Panhandle, we're not that bad off, but we're low on the rainfall too! Quote
chatbug Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 It's technically spring in Taiwan, but today... max 30*C (86*F), min 23*C (73.4*F) - it sure feels like summer already! Hmmm... summer... beach!!! It's raining heaps now though... *sigh* Quote
marie b. Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 It's very much summer here. 75F at 8am, and the top temperature is expected to reach 95F. Thank God I'm on summer vacation, because I'd melt if I went outside. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Well, it's not summer here yet. We are having a warm srping though. Today it's been just about right 67F. Quote
stevevan Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I'd be more than happy to spread some of the rain around a bit if I could to help cool some of you off! Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 Our weather still goes the right direction. 18 degrees at 10pm. No one takes it away from us please! Quote
Samrc Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Yes, please send rain to Florida. That is being chanted and prayed throughout Central Florida. One of my co-workers lives in an area that has brush fires in previous years and is watching the news intently for any news of the current fires moving in her direction! Yards around here are dry and crispy. Almost lost one of my favorite azalea beds (candy-cane miniatures). Slimy hot here and we are no where near the hottest part of the year! Quote
woodygap Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 We had a 2 hour rain delay for my son's baseball tournament today in Oregon. Come on........Summer Quote

TCH-Thomas Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 There seems to be something wrong with the weather. Today for the first time in history as I understand it, it snowed in the very most southern part of Sweden today...in august. This should not even happen to the northern parts according to the weather guys. Quote
TCH-Tim Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Snow sounds pretty great right about now. Been waiting 3 months for the daytime temperature to drop below 100. Quote

TCH-Thomas Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 I don´t know if weather is one of the most unpredictable things in the world or if the meteorologists here in Sweden sucks but yesterday morning they say on the radio that we could expect a snow storm today. Well, today we had 7C (44.6F) and rain. Don´t get me wrong, I think the meteorologists knows what they do (mostly), but I just love when they don´t (when it´s beneficial for me anyway). Don´t know what the meteorologists have predicted for tomorrow, but I sure hope it´s atleast 25C (77F) and sun. Quote
makaveli Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 (edited) best meteorological mess up wash a guy called Michael fish in England, in the 80's he predicted a beautiful summers day. but that day a tornado struck and destroyed a lot of stuff. i can't wait for the first snow storm hopefully thomas' snow is making its way east for me to enjoy Edited November 11, 2006 by makaveli Quote
moogie Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 I've never coped well with being cold. Snow is pretty to visit, as well as on post cards. I lived in California for most of my life, and that state has a wonderfully moderate climate. Here in the south, it gets wicked hot and humid. But the winters are seriously mild compared to what you folks have to endure. Occasionally, we get the freezing temps..but they don't last long, and quite often, like right now, we get the beautiful days in between. Quote
