TCH-Thomas
Secunia writes Description:imei addmimistrator has reported a vulnerability in vBulletin, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks. Input passed to the "Email Address" field in the "Edit Email & Password" functionality is not properly sanitised before being stored in the user's profile. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected web site when the email address of a malicious user is viewed. Successful exploitation requires that "Enable Email features" and "Allow Users to Email Other Member" are enabled in the configuration. The vulnerability has been reported in version 3.5.3. Prior versions may also be affected. Solution: Update to version 3.5.4. http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176170
