nirenjan
Hi, I went through the plans and I'm delighted with them. However, there is just one issue. My total requirements (for 3 domains) will fit within 450 MB easily. Can you design a custom hosting plan or should I have to buy a predefined reseller account for this? Thanks Nirenjan
TCH-Rob
Welcome to the forums Nirenjan. To host three separate accounts with different content you would need a reseller account OR three separate hosting accounts.

nirenjan
Thanks everybody, just a couple of more questions. I have about a month of hosting left with my current host. My site currently uses ASP and I see that you support only PHP & Perl. Anyway, I want to port it to PHP and make my site active by the 1st of November. Now if I purchase a hosting package, can I check the pages without having my domain point to TCH?
TCH-Bruce
Yes, you can. You will be given an IP address where you can upload/test your site until you are ready to change your DNS servers to point here to TCH. You are correct ASP is not supported on the TCH servers. nirenjan
Thanks Bruce. One final question, will TCH techs assist me in installing a CMS like WordPress or MovableType?
Deverill
The TCH Techs don't help install third party scripts such as WordPress or MT. There are, however, lots of folks on the forums here that are familiar with the systems and can offer assistance if you get stuck.
TCH-Don
Some php code may not work properly when you view your site with the ip/~username given to you to view your site before the domain name is active. But you can install your own Apache server with php to debug your site on your own computer. Many of us use Xammpp Lite a quick and easy install. I do all my changes this way. If you do this and need help with it, just ask us here on the forum. Some of us have installed Xampp on a usb drive and it works great. OldTimer
I could be wrong here, but doesn't XAMPP Lite, only have PHP 5.0.4? Some scripts will only work with PHP 4 Greg
stevevan
From the Xammp page: We've released a new version of XAMPP 1.4.15, including: * Update XAMPP Control Version 2.1 * (from www.nat32.com & thank you) Update MySQL 4.1.13 * Update PHP 4.4.0 * Update eAccelerator 4.4.0-0.9.4dev * Update Zend Optimizer 2.5.10a * Update OpenSSL 0.9.8 * Update ADODB 4.65 * Update FileZilla FTP Server 0.9.8c * Update phpMyAdmin 2.6.3-pl1 * Update sendmail v14 * add xampp-portcheck (wiedmann) * and more ... See their site for more info.
OldTimer
That version, yes. XAMPP Lite. No. That's all I was implying. Greg
stevevan
You are correct. Subtle but important difference between the two.
nirenjan
Thanks again everybody, XAMPP works great. Now one question on the billing. I saw that the Head Guru special is available for only new customers. That's fine, but if I pay for one year, then do I have an option to return to monthly billing at a later date (after 1 year, that is)? TCH-Rob
Just open a ticket to billing if the need arises and they will take care of you.
