Open Source Project Management Software

Recommended Posts

I was wondering whether any body could suggest an open source management software (with capabilities of Microsoft Project).

I have seen there are lots on the internet but I can not test them all and I am looking for one which is most compatibe with MS project.

Thank you.

35,000 people have downloaded Open Workbench, which bills itself as the free replacement to MS Project.

I haven't used it myself (yet), but from what I read, it seems promising. I think I'll install it and see how it works with my office's Project files.

Upon further review, I've found that Open Workbench can't open MS Project files directly. You have to export them to XML from MS Project, then you can open them in Open Workbench. That may not meet your needs.

That is pretty much more than I supposed. Is there any chance I can find any web based application so I can share it with others?
