Striver Posted September 1, 2005 Share Posted September 1, 2005 I know I have posted a review here before but with the recent negativity in this corner I really feel a need to say this. I read once that if you want a really good restaurant experience, find a place near a retirement community. As people get older, they are less likely to put up with bad food or bad service and far more likely to raise hell about it. As I have gotten older, I have found this to be very true. I am now 53. I am an obstinate, stubborn old grouch and I'm darn proud of it. I recently forced Verizon to break their own policy and send me a check for $3.50 by starting legal action against them for it (they claimed they were too big to send out a check that small even though they admitted owing it). I simply don't take BS from anyone and the bigger they are the harder I fight. But I have also worked in customer service and I know that 99.9 percent of customer service problems are user ignorance (blunt perhaps but nonetheless true). That is seldom the case with me. When I contact a company it is almost always because THEY have a problem and they had better figure it out quick or I will raise holy hell til they fix it and then take my business elsewhere. If you are going to deal with me you better deal straight. Yeah...I'm bull headed and proud of it. My point is this, if a company manages to keep my business and even gain my recommendation, you can bet your bottom dollar they talk straight, deal straight, and work hard to handle problems when they come up. Yes...there will always be problems, especially in an industry as complex as web hosting. I have had problems with TCH myself. Problems are part of life. It is what you do about those problems that makes the difference and that is just as true on both sides of the fence. Nearly every negative post I have read about TCH has been from someone who either didn't give them a fair chance or had unreasonable expectations. If you need some kind of extra service, take out a help ticket. If these folks can find a way to give you what you need and still make a profit, you can bet they will do it ( and profit is NOT a four letter word). If you are experiencing some kind of problem with TCH, contact them and be open to communication. You can bet they will fix it if humanly possible. They know their reputation is on the line with every problem that pops up and that is something they care about. If they didn't, I flat wouldn't be here.
