thebigtimer
First off let me tell you that I am a complete novice when it comes to WordPress and blogging. However, I currently have a site with TCH and would like a blog to appear on my main page for quick and easy news updates. I tried installing WordPress through my cpanel and when I tried to view it or go to the admin it says it can't find some file or something...here is what it says exactly: There doesn't seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn't work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file. I have no idea what to do with that. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks. TCH-Thomas
Hi, As far as I know the installation of wordpress through the cpanel is not recommended. However, installing it from the installation files from http://wordpress.org/download/ is quite easy. Also there is a great setup tutorial here. TCH-Thomas
I accidently gave you the wrong link for download of the files in the above post. It has been corrected now.
