TCH-Thomas
Is there any way I can get my blogs recent posts list to show up on the home page of my site? I use Carp Rss for other rss feeds so I figured I could use it and tell it show my-tchhosted-site.com/?feed=rss2 or something like that but that doesn´t seems to work. Any ideas anyone? TCH-Bruce
Since you are using WP you can try these For RSS2: www.your-blog-url/feed/ For RSS www.your-blog-url/feed/rss/
TCH-Bruce
I see they changed the feed in 1.5.1 so maybe my links won't work.
TCH-Thomas
Not working. I am getting the message: [CaRP]XML error: mismatched tag at line 9 But I´m slow today, so I better ask, did you mean I should enter: www.your-blog-url/feed/ or www.your-blog-url/feed/wp-rss2.php ? MikeJ
It should be http://www.tompasworld.com/thoughts/?feed=rss2, but for some reason your feeds aren't working in your WordPress installation.
TCH-Bruce
I just read Mike's post. Have you made any posts since you upgraded your blog? If not there won't be a feed to send.

TCH-Thomas
No, I haven´t posted since the upgrade, but I figured the upgrade wouldn´t touch that part so to speak.
TCH-Bruce
In the admin panel under Options and then Reading are you generating an RSS feed? And if so, how many posts are you outputting?
TCH-Thomas
It works now. Thanks guys. Now I just have one problem, and that is that in one recent comment it says "I´m Thomas" instead of "I´m Thomas". Is that some rss problem? To understand better what I mean please see tompasworld.com/test and scroll down to bottom and look to the left.

For some reason, that particular character appears to have been entered as UTF-8, as it shows correctly if you switch the character encoding in the browser to UTF-8. It seems to have been entered in a different way than that same character on other parts of your page. From a View Source of your page: >I´m Thomas >If you don´t I think you just need to edit the text where you see ´ and replace it with ´. TCH-Thomas
Somethings weird, my recent thoughts are gone. Yesterday after I logged out from the forum I continued to play around with this. I never touched any of the settings, only moving the rss code for the recent thoughts/posts around on my front page to see where it would look best. Today when I checked it out again to continue my reconstruction of the front page, the recent thoughts were gone. Does anyone know how it could have happened? I mean since I never touch any of this in my sleep, it should have been there when I woke up too, shouldn´t it?
woodygap
Somethings weird, my recent thoughts are gone. Hi Thomas I am having the same problem. Although, mine is due to advancing age. I hope you get it working Thomas! Here's a link for another possibility. http://www.rss-to-javascript.com/ Best of Luck my friend
TCH-Bruce
Thomas looks like a lot of people are having problems with the RSS feeds in WP 1.5.1 Click here to see what I mean.
