MOONDAWG2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 Guys I'm sorry. I just don't get it. How to get my logo up were the invision logo is. I also dont know how to change the color in my headers For example. Just like above: It's the light blue with the thread info in. I would like to change that color. But I really need help with how to change the logo. I'm sorry for the glitch in my brain, LOL!!! Just need a little help, I read the link but I still can't get it to work for me. Thanks guys Quote
TCH-Don Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Did you try the instructions right click your board logo, select properties to see the path to the 'logo.jpg' replace it with yours, keeping it the same height. connect to your site with ftp or cpanels filemanager navagate to the folder you see when right clicking the logo. Copy your logo from your computer to that folder to replace the original logo using the same name 'logo.jpg' or 'logo.gif'. Did you find your logo? If you look at the one for this board, you will see /forums/style_images/1/logo.gif Quote
MOONDAWG2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 No I don't see the /forums/style_images/1/logo.gif when I right click the logo I get the element properties. With the url location. But I don't see what you are asking me. What am I doing wrong? Quote
TCH-Andy Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 In the case of our forum - do you see the URL http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/style_images/1/logo.gif To replace the logo, you would create a logo that is the same size as the current one (100 x 90 in our case) and then go to /forums/style_images/1/ in your site. Replace the file logo.gif with the one you have created. Quote
MOONDAWG2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 Yes I do see http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/s...ages/1/logo.gif in the element properties. Where do I look for /forums/style_images/1/ in my site admin controls? Thanks for your help Quote
TCH-Dick Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 /forums/style_images/1/ is the directory/folder you need to upload your image to. You can do this via FTP or the File Manager in cPanel. Quote
MOONDAWG2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 Man I just don't get it. Sorry. I don't know how to get to my directory/folder. I do have cuteFTP program. Where is my cPanel? Sorry for not getting it. I usually pick up on things but this is stumping me. Thanks Quote
TCH-Andy Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 If you use cuteFTP (with your domain name, cpanel username and password) then you should see a number of files and directories. Go into the public_html folder then the forums folder etc.. And you should be able to navigate down to find the logo.gif file In the other window of cuteFTP (the one looking at your local hard disk), find the logo you have created, and then copy it over to replace the one you have just navigated to on the server. I also want to change the color of the header and catagory, From the blue ( as seen above on this site)Is that a skin? or how would I change the color of the header and catagory bars. If it takes a ftp client to do that also. I gues I am in the same boat. LOL Thanks so much guys and gals for the help. Please be patient and help me overcome this issue. Please.
