kevp Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Hi there, Have any members installed a torrentbits php tracker? I am trying to get one up and running and I've got the source installed and have completed the steps described in this tutorial: http://www.geocities.com/themisterofmister...rcetut-v0.1.txt This tracker I'm establishing is for legal file sharing, and probably will end up on an account different than my own. But I am trying to figure out how to get one running in the first place. I am not familiar with working in php but I can find my way around the source code if I know what to look for. I'm using dreamweaver to edit. I've got it up on my site (http://www.kevp.net/tb/index.php), although I can't find how to switch it to allow HTML, so it's in text at the moment. But if anyone is familiar with the torrentbits tracker I could use some direction. I can't seem to get into the "upload.php" from the index.php. I want to start there because if I could upload a torrent file I could see if it's working. Thanks in advance to anyone who could maybe help me out! k.p. Quote
section31 Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Bittorrent Trackers are best kept away from shared servers. Unless you keep the peer count under 300, you will hinder the performance on the server. You wouldn't want to do that would you. Quote

I have my own modded version of the bitgrog tracker. Edited March 24, 2005 by section31 Quote
