D. J.
What does it mean when you have an active help desk ticket, and the status says it's "On Hold?" That the problem is being worked on?
TweezerMan
It could be that, or that the help desk is waiting for something. Not too long ago, I was having a problem and the server in question was undergoing an upgrade. My ticket was put "On Hold" for a few hours until the upgrade was complete, so the Help Desk would know that they needed to come back later and look at my ticket to see if the problem was resolved. matman
I'm pretty sure that means that at the very least someone has looked at your ticket.
D. J.
Thanks David. I'm having what seems to be a convoluted problem with my webmail. Tech support can't duplicate it from their end, but I've duplicated it on four different systems and two ISP locations here. Must be something burrowed down deep somewhere and they're trying to smoke it out.
TCH-Dick
tickets are placed on hold when we need to go back to them for follow up, or if we just need to do some research on the issue.
