Okay, I Need Some Guidance On Movable Type Install

Okay I understand this sort of, but the directions aren't real great on what your suppose to put in on the files. Like setting the full path of the

StaticWebPath /?????/

and that stuff.

 

I have an idea but I'm used to using Microsoft IIs and SQLServer stuff so all these other things are a little new.

 

So if anyone has installed or could help with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Never mind I figured it out. I searched through the forums on here and pieced it together. Instructions aren't really that straight forward. Maybe I'll jot something down the the TCH team to add to their instructions. I went back and totally ingnored the cgi-bin install and used the main level folder and it worked like a champ.....

 

Now my brain hurts so I must go have a seat on the couch,

Yeah, I haven't ever gone through a CGI-BIN install of MT just because I don't want to split things up. I like having everything right there where it should be.

 

The best resource though for installing MT is the install guide that comes with it. You always got to remember though just to take it one step at a time! I've been back and forth on MT instals plenty of times, just think of it all as just a learning experiance!
