DWD
MY CPanel Awstats say "Last Update: 31 Jan 2005 - 16:13" It normally updates daily without exception. Is this part of the recent server work that is going on in response to blogosphere spamming? And, thus, I should just wait it out. Or, is this something I should submit a support ticket to get fixed? TCH-Thomas
Sorry I don´t know so please submit a ticket so the techs can look in to it.
TCH-Andy
The stats do not update overnight if there was a medium to high load on the server at the time they were trying to run. Hence it can sometimes be a couple of days between runs (ie. If people are doing backups overnight at the same time...). If you want the stats - open a ticket and they can be run manually. However if you're happy for them to be updated overnight next time - then it should happen automatically.
DWD
I can wait. I'm pretty patient. As long as the info will eventually be there. I was just curious, because I had never seen them not update, and they had not updated for Feb 1 or Feb 2.
Nicholas Naime
Click "Update now" in the main awstat window.
TCH-Rob
Unless you have enabled that, that function is not available on the pages of most users.
DWD
It finally updated on the 4th. Not yet 24 hours, so I don't know about today. I don't see an update now function.
Nicholas Naime
I don't see an update now function. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You need to modify your configuration file. It is located in /tmp/awstats and called awstats.your domain name.conf. Open it in a text editor and locate the line that reads: AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=0 change it to: AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser=1 and save the file. Now you should be able to update your statistics from the browser.
TCH-Bruce
You may want to read the security thread about activating this option. http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=16651 Remember you are responsible for what goes on with your account. DWD
Thanks for the information. Awstats updated on the 4th and again on the 5th, so things are probably back to normal.
