SEO Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 Does anyone know a good Calendar Script? This will be for a town government web site so, ideally it would have a user-friendly interface for the town office to add/delete events easily. Thanks for any input. Quote
TCH-Sales Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 Just after a quick search on Google, I found these... http://javascript.internet.com/calendars/ http://scripts.surfzilla.com/calendars.html http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_...Perl/Calendars/ Might try a few of those out, and see which one suits your needs the best! Good luck! Quote
elvenjess Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 Hmm...well if you use Invision Power Board, there is a built in calendar... Quote
SEO Posted April 7, 2003 Author Posted April 7, 2003 Thanks for your effort CK... I spent 3 hours yesterday looking at various scripts, no 'one' stood out. I was really asking if anyone had a particular favorite. I should have taken that three hours and begun writing my own, which I will begin to do now. Quote
TCH-Sales Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 Not a problem.. one thing I did find while going through those is the ones with the most power, which was needed to do what you wanted to do cost moolah.. Sometimes building it yourself is the best thing to do though, when you can't find what you need! If anybody else has a good sugestion, I'm sure they'll lend in an opinion. Quote
mtimmer Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 A very nice and complete calendar application (MySQL/PHP) is WebCalendar (sourceforge - online demo). We use it on our intranet as a shared group calendar. Quote
no1nos Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Another popular one is the Proverbs Web Calendar . It's a little bland but easy to use and set up. Quote
SEO Posted April 8, 2003 Author Posted April 8, 2003 Thanks for the input, started writing my own... would have finished but I was too busy watching my local team, the Orangemen, winning the NATIONAL TITLE! For those of you unfamiliar with the term 'Orangemen' = Syracuse Orangemen, 2003 NCAA National Basketball Champions! Quote
