Squirrel Mail Embedded Loging Problem

Recommended Posts

I though i'd add a login so i can check my mail any where.

I knew i didn't want to use horde or neomail because my school blocks 2029 or what ever it is

so i tried to do with squirrel and while i'm at it i though i'd do an embedded loggin.

so i did my form and it wasn't working i was getting a 404 using

><form method="post" action="http://your.host.com/mail/src/redirect.php">

so i went to the live chat and i was told to use sqmail so i ended up with:

><form method="post" action="http://www.mydomainname.com/sqmail/src/login.php">

so then it get a bunch of php errors:

>Warning: Unknown(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.3a/src/login.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/myusername/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.3a/src/login.php): failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in Unknown on line 0

Warning: (null)(): Failed opening '/usr/local/squirrelmail-1.4.3a/src/login.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in Unknown on line 0

and the person at the live support told me that he couldn't help me with coding and ... and said i had to go to the forums :P. so hmm can some one help me?

it seems like sqmail isn't working since i get the same error with ****/sqmail/ ;)

Hi,

I do apologize for what the tech said via live chat, if you open a helpdesk ticket and explain the problem and we'll be able to resolve the issue for you. The tech must have mis-understood your problem.

PAAT,

You almost had it. The instructions on this page are incorrect.

http://totalchoicehosting.com/help/id38.htm

You had: <form method="post" action="http://your.host.com/mail/src/redirect.php">

Change the "/mail/" to "/sqmail/".

I also think you have to use the host name, not your domain name.

It will look like this: <form method="post" action="http://server??.totalchoicehosting.com/sqmail/src/redirect.php">

Does anyone know how to get this javascript to auto append the domain to the username?
