Lexi Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Can we have multiple domains on the same account free? Lexi Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 You can park domains over your original domain. If you wish to have another domain point to another part of your site you need a reseller account. To park a domain, purchase the domain, set the name servers to point to ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com and open a help desk ticket to support requsting to park the domain on your account. Lexi Posted December 13, 2004 Author Posted December 13, 2004 Ok so the answer would be no you cannot have multiple domains on the same server unless you have a resellers account..... k thanks Quote
woesap Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 No not completely true. It depends if you want to point the different domains to the same site or another one. You can have multiple domains point to your public_html directory aka the same index.html but you can't have a domain pointed to a subdirectory.. Quote
ThumpAZ Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Richard is correct, in a sense, as is your understanding. You can have multiple different DNS entries all pointing to www.yourdomain.tld, however, they all will resolve to www.yourdomain.tld. They won't resolve as www.yourotherdomain.tld. If you are wanting to have www.yourotherdomain.tld pointed to www.yourdomain.tld/other or other.yourtdomain.tld, you are correct, that requires a reseller account. Quote
