DWD Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I received an email just before 2:00 am this moring. Here is what the date of the email is in my inbox: Date: Thu, November 18, 2004 9:56 pmI figured it was the senders server/computer that had the different date and that it would show up when I displayed the full header. But everthing in the header shows todays date the 17th (my domain changed to "domain"): Return-path: <updates@aerodrome.us>Envelope-to: don@domain.com Delivery-date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 01:56:18 -0500 Received: from domain by server85.totalchoicehosting.com with local-bsmtp (Exim 4.43) id 1CUJjl-0006WY-0P for don@domain.com; Wed, 17 Nov 2004 01:56:18 -0500 Received: from [209.249.176.3] (helo=jefferson.patriot.net) by server85.totalchoicehosting.com with esmtp (Exim 4.43) id 1CUJjk-00010y-Rt for don@domain.com; Wed, 17 Nov 2004 01:56:16 -0500 Received: from localhost.localdomain (www.loshwomp.com [209.249.182.199]) by jefferson.patriot.net (8.12.10/8.12.3) with ESMTP id iAH6uQi8000486 for <don@domain.com>; Wed, 17 Nov 2004 01:56:30 -0500 Message-Id: <200411170656.iAH6uQi8000486@jefferson.patriot.net> From: AeroPlayer Update List <updates@aerodrome.us> Reply-To: paidsupport@aerodrome.us To: don@domain.com Subject: AeroPlayer 5.0 released Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 01:56:34 -500 (EST) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.0.0 (2004-09-13) on server85.totalchoicehosting.com X-Spam-Level: * X-Spam-Status: No, score=1.2 required=5.0 tests=FORGED_RCVD_HELO,INVALID_DATE, RCVD_IN_NJABL_RELAY autolearn=no version=3.0.0 Anyone have any input as to why the email is displayed with tomorrows date? Madmanmcp Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 The date on the sending computer was set wrong, it had the date of the 18th. Outlook and Outlook Express places the system date and time on the inside of emails. The header information will be the date and time from the email server and is usually correct. Quote
