Samrc Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Stopped by the guestbook to say hi! One note.... Can you place a link from it to your HOME page? Maybe in the dropdown box in the upper right? -Samantha Quote
whoahorse Posted November 10, 2004 Author Posted November 10, 2004 Hey Sam! Thanks for the idea! I have to redo that G/B tomorrow Weezy Quote
Samrc Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I found this thread today.... You should read it: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...?showtopic=9922 Seems the version of the guestbook you are using could have problems. Another TCH member is experiencing hacking on that GB. Rread and see here: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=14033 -Samantha Quote
whoahorse Posted November 10, 2004 Author Posted November 10, 2004 I am going to delete that book and go back to using dreambook like I normally do. Thanks for all the warnings guys! Weezy Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 (edited) The latest version available through our cpanels has fixed that vulnerability, weezy. Edited November 10, 2004 by TCH-Thomas Quote
whoahorse Posted November 10, 2004 Author Posted November 10, 2004 I can't find the other GB in Cpanel? Weezy Quote
TCH-Don Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 (edited) Weezy, in cpanel > addon scripts > advanced guestbook you should see AdvancedGuestBook when you click on it, you will see 2.3.1 guest book new installation and below if you had installed 2.2 in cpanel before the upgrade, Upgrade an existing Installation select the guestbook from a dropdown menu. I installed my own copy, so cpanel did not know about the existing guest book. but as yours is a new one, if cpanel installed 2.2, then open a help ticket. Edited November 10, 2004 by TCH-Don Quote
MikeJ Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 (edited) I think part of the confusion is your old theme you have that account set to that I mentioned in my PM to you, Weezy, which still has a link to the old GB if you go to CGI scripts. To find the newer GB in that theme, you want to go to "Tools", then find "Addon Scripts", scroll all the way down, and you should see a link to "AdvancedGuestBook". Click on that, and you should get to a screen that shows "AdvancedGuestBook 2.3.1 Setup". Edited November 10, 2004 by TCH-MikeJ Quote
