whoahorse Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 This is what I need to do: On your server, create or locate a mysql database for b2evolution How do you do that? LOL!!! Weezy Quote
TCH-Dick Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Hey Weezy take a look at this tutorial http://help.totalchoicehosting.com/cpanel_...createmysql.htm If you still need help let us know. Quote
whoahorse Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 Thanks that helped a ton! I can't seem to log into my blog to install it.. What do you think I am doing wrong? THANKS! Weezy Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Did you set the correct permissions? Quote
whoahorse Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 Did you set the correct permissions? Not sure. I'll check the permissions? Where do I do that? Man I feel blonde today! Weezy Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 From their manual: Let's assume your b2evo is installed under /blogs. Here's what you need to change: * chmod 666 /blogs/conf/_config.php if you want the installer to be able to automatically update your config based on your input. * chmod 777 /blogs to allow creation of blog stub files from the admin interface or to generate static pages for your blogs. * chmod 777 /blogs/media in order to upload images and other media from b2evo's backoffice. * chmod 666 /blogs/skins/custom/* if you want to use the template editor for the custom skin. Check them out and let us know. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Easiest would be with ftp. Log in to your account/blogname and check the folders that are in bold in my prev. post. Quote

whoahorse Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 LOL! I will Heh what file do you think I could find my password in? I got this damm thing working but now it says my password doesn't work? this is at www.horseblog.com I tried the lost password thing but no email is coming to me... Weezy Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 (edited) From their forum: Go stand in the corner until the end of time! Or access the database through your web host, pick through the users table until you see a name and email id combination that seem sort of familiar, then use the name to get a new password sent to the id. Not so sure I support the first thing though. But you could always have a look on Mars. Edited November 6, 2004 by TCH-Thomas Quote

LisaJill Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Weezy - I *highly* suggest that you go to the page page and either password protect it or remove whatever makes it possible for anyone to change it. Quote
