Installing Php-nuke

Recommended Posts

Okay, there is probably a very simple solution to this - when trying to use the PHP-Nuke installation interface in CPanel I am getting the error:

'Invalid url (PHP-Nuke).. please try agin'

I tried creating the directory first and get the error:

'Error: /home/uwliber/public_html/PHP-Nuke already exists'

I've searched the forum and can't find any mention of similar problems so I assume this is something dopey I'm doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just tried to install it myself.

In cpanels installation of php-nuke you should only need to tell where you want your php-nuke.

There is a line saying

New Installation

Install at this url: http://domain.com/ then in the textbox just enter where you want it installed and click install.

Try a single word all lower case for the folder name

or you can use - or _ in the folder name but no spaces

just enter the folder name

it will be installed below your domain

like domain/nuke

if it still will not install,

open a help ticket to support and tell them what you tried.

Looks like the single word, lower case thing is the fix. It didn't even like the hyphen in there...

Thanks
