LisaJill 0
Ok... I'm interesting in returning to use of a text based email client, a whole slew of reasons. I was always enamored of Pine. The problem is that when I used to use it it was supplied by my ISP and configured by them. So I have it installed but I can't figure out how to enter the pop3/stmp server, username and password in a fashion that will actually work. I've tried all sorts of solutions to this but I lost the link to the page where the things I tried are listed *sighs* Anyway, I enabled incoming-mail-folders as that's the method I'd like to use so that it can notify me of new mail - anyone have any more ideas on this? I'll keep searching but if someone knows... well hey. =)
schussat 0
It's been a long time since I used Pine, but I remember going through the same process of trying to figure out the remote server options. Here's one page I came across that may have a model you can adapt: http://seanic.net/support/pine.htm Best of luck!

MikeJ 0
Mutt rules! If you get stuck with Pine, lemme know. Never used it much, though. I was always more of an Elm and then Mutt fan (when it came out).
