A Program For Taking Screenshots Of Dvds

:ph34r: Hey! I'm looking for a program that has the ablility to take screen shots of dvds. I'm trying to take pictures of some of my anime dvds for my gallery but its proving harder than I thought. Any help is appreciated.

what operating system? windows?

 

Also, just beware that you're treading into dangerous territory with copyright infringement and law stuff. =)

Mine will not let me grab a screenshot from a DVD playing on the computer.

Something to do with the way the DVD hardware send video to the display.

Doesn't the good old "Print Screen" key work?

 

It should grab the whole screen and put it in the clipboard. Then you just need to open your favorite photo editor and paste it into a new image.

 

Or, if I recall correctly, if you want to grab just the active window, you can press ALT+PrintScreen and it will only capture the active window. If that's not it, then CTRL+PrintScreen will do the trick ;)

Try snagit.

It's a screen capture tool that has lots of features.

I use it professionaly to take screenshots of forms in applications that I am testing.

Different input possibilities, different output possibilities etcetc.

Just check it out.

Click Snagit page to visit a download site..

I have that but dont recall it working with my DVD software so SnagIt will be hit or miss. Give it a go if Lisa's option will not work for you.
