What Data Center?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

If I were to open a Starter Plan tonight:

- Which of your data centers would I be located in?

- What would my Class C subnet be?

I'm located in California.

Thank you for your help!

N~

Nordie,

I cant say for sure until you sign up. Washington possibly, one cant choose the center. You would get your IP information when you sign up.

Yeah, the servers automatically allocate the plans to keep each server balanced and stable (Therefore you cannot choose your data center). Once you received your IP address, we could match it up with a server and find which data center the server is in.

If you could let us know the reason behind the questions, we might be able to provide a more appropriate answer.

If you are concerned about location, all TCH datacenters should respond well to California. We could provide you with IP addresses in each datacenter to compare.

If you are worried about spam blocks, all of TCH's addresses are pretty clean, and we are vigilant about keeping them that way.

Hi Everyone,

I already signed up, and Rob answered my questions, so I'm handled! :)

Part of the reason I asked, is that one of my web providers has its servers in a data center that has had more than its share of "incidents", and I wanted to make sure TCH was nowhere even near that data center.

In checking further, I believe TCH doesn't even use them, so I'm fine!

Thanks again everyone!
