Duck Brand Duct Tape sponsors a yearly competition offering a top prize of $2,500 for the best use of duct tape in prom attire.

I was pretty amazed at some of the entries! I cannot even imagine making a dress (much less a suit) out of duct tape.

My favorite is on page number 3, in the middle (based on Van Gogh's "The Starry Night" Hard to believe that is all duct tape!!

Got my vote, Kris! :P

That's amazing Kris! Please tell us... how long did it take? Did you design the costumes yourself? What kind of reaction did you get at prom?

It took us 5 days working on both outfits to finish it. We used around 57 rolls of duct tape.

We got the design for prince charming from Disney’s Cinderella. And we wanted something totally unique for Cinderella’s dress so we came up with that on our own ;)

The people at the prom thought it was insane that we made that out of duct tape! We must have posed for an 1hr or so for pictures. They liked the detail on the suit (all the braiding we did for the rope) and all the design stuff on the dress. You can see all that in the close up pictures.

We wore the outfits for about 3hrs so that was the biggest thing. IT WAS SO HOT! We tried dancing but it was really hard.

thanks to all of you guys that voted for us :D

oh, and anouther thing that people couldn't believe was the glass slipper (you can see it in the close ups) Some of them knew duct tape came in more then one color, but know one knew it came in clear.

would you guys mind voting for us again? they have changed the way the voting works and they have not told me if the old votes count. So if you guys could vote again I would REALLY appreciate it :D
