KevinW
Since last May, I have been working with a 15" flat plasma screen. My eyes finally had had enough. So, I thought, let's look for a 17" (like Lianna was looking last month). Prices had been tumbling, and then I realized, that a 17" was not just going to give me the boost I needed. Most of the 19" were in the $850 range. I then stumbled onto a Nec MultiSunc 1920NX LCD for $707 ont he Internet. No way, I said. But it was true. I checked a couple of other places, and some reviews, and said "Why not?". So, as any good "spur of the moment" buyer would do, I pulled out my credit card, and ordered it before my wife could say "It's time for dinner". That was on Friday evening. Tonight, my wife and daughter went out to Barnes & Nobles Bookstore to use up a gift certificate we had received. We love bookstores. I was going to go, but at the last minute, something inside said - nah, hang around the house. Five minutes after they left, I discovered "what Browhnhas been doing for me lately!" - as the UPS guy pulled up with my 19" digital monitor! Powered off my computer, plugged that sucker into my digital video card, and rebooted -- and it's like they turned on the lites in Georgia --- whoah I can see again! Hallelujah, I can see again! -kw Sorry, Lianna if this sounds like rubbing it in - but my 51 (almost 52) year old eyes just wasn't going to hack it any longer! I'll post some pictures AFTER I have fun rubbing it in for a few more hours! Ciao!
Lianna
Yeah, ok. so you got the bigger toy. Is that testosterone I smell???? Between you and HeadGuru's TWO dsl lines and a router that combines, I think I've been outplayed. You boys just have a bigger wallet than me I guess. < ..taking my ball and going home... >

bethohio3
Well team, I do understand the joy of a large monitor. I'm living with 17"s at home. In fact, there are four 17" monitors (one for each box). (One box is being given away to a new home soon; I'm not sure yet which monitor (if any) is going with it.) But at work, well, my monitor situation is pretty darned wonderful. I have a 21" and a 17" set up on my desk. One of the guys has 3 monitors (a 21" and two 17"s), but I think that might be excessive. But the dual-monitor setup is wonderful. :-) I don't really need or want it at home, but there's nothing like having twice the screen real estate! --Beth
