  1. Hi Rohan, I did a search on the source code for the IP address that was used in the link, to download the PHP file. I saw that it occurred right after that subject title. Glad things are working well again and that you upgraded the BB to 2.0.15. That will help!
  2. It looks like someone has updated your forum for the topic that reads: "If you are looking for information, please post your request here!" and added the link for the PHP file in that. You should be able to update that title and remove it. I wouild also do as Thomas suggested and upgrade your forum. Keep us posted!
  3. I've see a lot of good advice on this subject. Trying to go after someone via legal action in another country, I believe, would be problematic a best. However, as suggested, a note from the Abuse Manager of TCH to the hosting company and ISP of the offender might pull a little more weight than a person in some places. If you have either of these please let me know and I will carry that forward for you. Sorry that these things happen. Unfortunately this is part of the risk by being on the internet and having a web site. Take care,
  4. May God ease the pain of those who have suffered through loss of life and the wounded, give hope to those that need it, and show judgement to those that have caused this evil.
  5. Hi Anya, Yes, you can park as many domains as you wish, as long as they point to and use the same content. No, we do not support Fantastico. Sorry about that. Welcome to our forums! There are many friendly faces out here that can help you in a variety of ways. Enjoy!
  6. I'm with Andy on this ... not sure how you can stop the submissions. Quite the unusual situation, especially if you did not initiate this. Sorry you are having these problems.
  7. Welcome (back) to the team Mark!
  8. Hi free=good, Welcome to the forums. Please PM me about your issue. I'd like to help. You can also get me on LiveChat, AIM or Yahoo ... I'm tchgurubillh Thanks
  9. Brrrrr .... it was 62 in the house this AM! We have a fan that pulls in and circulates the air from outside during the night. It must have gotten COLD last night for it to be 62 this AM. But it will warm up without issue I am sure.
  10. Just my 2 cents here ... You mentioned that when you have a small list it works, but when you try to add the rest, it breaks. Try adding small sections at a time. There could be a badly formatted e-mail address that is jamming up the works. The process of adding e-mail addresses may be limited too. So, again, if your small list works, keep adding small amounts. If it all the sudden stops working, then maybe it is a bad address. Good luck!
  11. I thought I would comment since I am the guy who sees most of the complaints about this. There is a huge amount of spoofing going on. I've received more complaints in the last week than in the last 3 months about spoofing. People often ask the question or make the statement: "This doesn't look good for my company. These e-mail addresses look like they come from my company. How can we stop this?" For the record, if you have a website eventually you will be spoofed. There's nothing in e-mail that prevents it. This is why phishing scams are so rampant. People are spoofing e-mail address for PayPal, eBay, Banks, credit card companies .... the list goes on. This is done in the hopes that a few people out of thousands might get duped and give up some private information. Lately though, it has been viruses who have been doing the spoofing. The e-mail addresses don't even exist in many cases. The virus has simply made up an e-mail address and attached your domain name to it. Although this won't solve this problem, I do not recommend that you use a default e-mail address as it allows you to receive e-mail from any e-mail address attached to your domain name. This makes e-mail addresses that you have never created appear live and can be used for spamming purposes. However, there is no way to stop spoofing. It happens to all companies large and small. So have comfort that you are not the only ones being spoofed. I hope this information has helped.
  12. What Bruce said.
  13. Hello everyone and THANK YOU for your well wishes. It brings a great smile to my face to see the enormous outpouring as I look and check on what TCH has been up to. My wife was just an absolute trooper! So much so that I wasn't convinced that things were progressing very much. But considering she pushed a baby out within an hour of arriving at the hospital, I say she did awesome. They are both doing well and recovering nicely. Thank you again! Bill
  14. I use Vonage and I have been very happy with it. I've used them for almost 2 years now. The first few months were a little rough. They were still new. But the last year and a half has been great. All the features that phone companies bleed you for are included in the Vonage plan. All my calls are logged, and all incoming calls have caller ID with name so I know who's calling me. The list of features is quiet long. So I won't do that here and you can find that information at their website. This thread got me curious about 911 service. I did all that was required by Vonage, but I have never needed to use it. So I called them just now. Apparently the service will get you to the 911 person. However, there are none of the new/electronic features that 911 has rolled out in the last 10 years (much less in my neck of the woods) that allow the operators to see your address, phone number or any other information. So you will have to give all of that information to them. Apparently this is true for any VOIP service, including cell phones too. Disappointing and I will follow up with that. Besides that, the service and features have been great and reliability has been superb as well. Even with the 911 service, I would highly recommend them as an alternative. The call quality I receive is NOT like a cell phone. It is identical to that of my land-line service. Identical. Nobody has been able to tell unless we tell them. They are extremely clear. There is one exception to this and that is the delay. The 100ms to 250ms delay is imperceptible EXCEPT when you talk to someone on a cell phone. Because cell phones ALSO have a 100ms to 250ms delay. In the worse case scenario, that can add up to a half second and sometimes that is noticeable. Some people have tied their boxes into their home phone service. But I elected not to and have a multi-handset phone set-up. Good luck in your evaluation!
  15. Hi Dan and welcome to the family!
  16. That is confusing. I thought maybe there was an issue with your path from you to the forums, but you're able to read and post just fine. Give an examle of the search term and a link from the search term and I'll give it a try. Others probably will too and it will determine if it is a problem with you or the forums. One last guess I have is that you could be using an ISP that caches their pages, like AOL, and that could be messing things up. Let us know!
  17. Tubehead, If you can find a turn-key business that costs nothing, is easy to install, is not complicated to run, requires little knowledge to run it, and makes lots of money ... PLEASE tell me about it! Because I'll be right on board. I think there is some rule in life that applies here: "There's no such thing as a free lunch."
  18. Hey Tubehead, If you have a reasonable computer background, you may find yourself frustrated in getting FP to do what you want. Instead, find yourself a nice HTML authoring too ... v.s. a WYSIWYG tool. Unless they are perfect in their design (every browser I've used has some flaw in it ... so how can a tool render better than a browser?) you always need to address code-specific or browser specific issues. Either by hand, or on my system I use BlueFish, (but mostly I work in the code) are the best options for professional looking websites. So I agree with Serpentine, it just takes me more words to say the same thing.
  19. NM ... it's done <<== Good words I don't know if you have ever done any database design at all. If you have used Access to do database stuff on your PC, we have a tool called "PHPMyAdmin". If you do a google on that you will find lots of information on it and it can be used to help you set up a database really quickly. On MySQL, you can go to the tutorials people have mentioned, or you can go to mysql.org. They have on-line documentation that tells you what every SQL command does. They show you from the simple to the complex and I've found it very helpful. It's searchable too. If you like computer manuals, this does a great job. If you don't want to design your own script, try the references above for pre-made scripts. I trust our members and their experiences too. And, now that the other formalities are taken care of ... Welcome to the Forums!
  20. Hey, I can understand. We all get frustrated when we're trying to get answers and we feel like we are spinning our wheels. So you have that understanding from me. I was a customer of TCH for more than a year and consider it an honor to be among the ranks of their staff now. So naturally I think TCH is a great host. We are also very proud that we are independently reviewed and monitored. So you can check up on us at anytime. We are open to being examined. Thank you for your understanding.
  21. Hi Tubehead, You've come to the right place because the Help Desk is not in the position to help you design your website. They can tell you what we support, what we don't, and if anything does go wrong we will be right there to fix it. But asking them to solve the software development issues that you have stated is completely unfair to hold them to. Some people actually pay good money for the design help you are asking for. If the people on this forum are willing to help you in this way, it is a credit to them and the family atmosphere we have here. And you will not find that in any other host. One question we can answer for you as a general rule: we do not support MS-Access. We do however have support for MySQL.
  22. Welcome to the TCH family!
  23. Welcome fellow Linux geek!
  24. Welcome to the team my friend!
  25. Hi Thomas, Just my guess on this one ... I bet the gmail programs scan the binary for a sequence of executable code. I bet that one of your pictures just happens to also have a sequence that could be interpreted as executable code. So, if you put the picture in the correct part in memory, something may actually run (maybe only a few instructions). Again, just my guess!
