The waltz has picked up speed... all sorts of things been happening today/tonight.
Check your PageRank, Backlinks and rank (using your favorite phrase)... hope all benefit!
-
Ask yourself: Will a spider see this page?
If the answer is yes, optimize!
-
Every page should have a unique title and meta tags... specific for that page. In other words, you optimize each page. Therefore, I would focus on 'free action games' (i.e. in title, keywords, description, header, etc.).
Make sense?

Will this help (thank KW [again]): Installing the Advanced Guest Book Feature
[Link removed: page being replaced]

Total Choice is using IBP v1.2 (RC 1), not v1.2 Final.

Actually, your best phrases would be (in order):
'free online games', 'online games', 'free internet games' with 'free games' being 10 times more popular then 'free internet games'. This is based on 'actual' searches.
Having that said:
1. Title
Free online games from ReallyFunArcade.com
2. Description
Free online games from Really Fun Arcade .com is your source for free Internet games.
3. Keywords
free online games,online games,free internet games,reallyfunarcade.com
4. How about changing your 'Welcome' alt tag to:
Welcome to free online games, part of the Really Network
5.Change 'ReallyFunArcade.com is YOUR source for FREE online games!!!'
to an <h1> tagged line that reads 'Free online games... ReallyFunArcade.com is YOUR source!!'
6. Would love to see your links changed to 'free....' (e.g. Action Games to Free Action Games, etc.) This may require you to use a smaller font but it would be well worth it (change the link title too).
7. Get other pages (with good PageRank) to point to your site. I know there are a slew of sites that list 'free' content, that would be a good start but do discriminate (refer to past threads on linking).
Well there is your lucky baker's half-dozen... good luck

how do you "properly" set up a forum - that's where I'm a little stuck....
Well the easy way.... use (or upgrade) to Invision Board v1.2, it is spider friendly.
The other option is to use mod rewrite to remove session ids, the nasty ?, & and = and the long url names.

Thank youFine I'll apease the masses. And thanks for the info. You bet!

ikillyouscum:
...um do not really like your forum name
Welcome to the forum though.
Yes, a properly set-up forum can be spidered and indexed. Googlebot has visited 11,800 pages here since July 3... seems to really like us. He actually visits every single day.
In addition, most of the pages within this forum are in the Google index.
Hope this answers your question and again welcome.
P.S. Maybe a name change?

Josh:
What keyword phrases are you most interested in?
[Please list them in order]

Josh... you are on my list. Please be patient.

Another tip, when submiting your site to a section, check to be sure it has and active editor!
If it does not, consider becoming an editor! There is a huge backlog of stuff - the category I volunteered for had some submissions that were 2 and a half years old!
So if getting listed sooner rather than later REALLY matters to you consider volunteering. You have to edit other sites in your category fairly, but you get input into you final description, get it doen faster and get to learn about your collaborators/competition.
This has been true for a very long time... very good advice. I also feel many of the responsible people here at TotalChoice would make excellent editors.
Thanks Musicfrisk.

As to the number of keywords, there is no magic number but remember that each one you add dilutes the others. Most people use too many, I like selecting the most relevant and focusing on just those (in both Meta tags and elsewhere).
I looked at yours again... Without doing the proper research I could not recommend which ones to focus on, but I can tell you at this point that you do have too many.
-
Do you have a link back to your home page on all your message board pages? It would help if you did.
-
No. I am recommending using one format or the other... be consistent. In other words, both are equally valued however you may see some differences if you are not consistent (e.g. backlinks to .com/ vs. .com).
-
Consistency is good… inconsistency is bad.

Thumbs Up Thanks Mitch.

It appears that today (Aug. 8) new backlinks are appearing ... however, it is not showing the typical movement that is associated with the infamous Google 'dance'.
As we have discussed in the past, Google algorithms have been changing significantly (i.e. fresh crawl and deep crawl vs. the flux crawl, non-existent Dance, etc.). It is very difficult to discuss any specifics until we truly 'see' what is going on (which will take time).
I will continue to offer any insight and/or opinion as I grasp clues.

False. You have to be very careful with 'different' advice online regarding optimization (or any other subject), there is a lot of false information out there. You can be penalized (or tags ignored) for misusing them (e.g. keyword stuffing, too many keywords, etc.).I was reading on another (google-oriented) site that you should not use META keyword and description tags.[Good job Andy]
My rankings clearly indicate that links are most important ...Not most, but very important... content (and how it is structured) is most important.
Well there is a little more complexity to this then meets the eye. As you state, 'strongest site link', is very important. Meaning the quality of the link as defined by the linking page PageRank and the number of outbound links on that page. It is not a shear numbers game... although more is better. I can show you many examples of sites that are ranked higher that have lower PageRank and lower number of backlinks.... meaning 'more' is involved. We have discussed this in other threads. My rankings clearly indicate that links are most important, as the artists with the most and strongest site link ins come up much higher than the ones that don't.But in terms of when page ranks get updated - please don't ask I have no idea!It appears that today (Aug. 8) new backlinks are appearing ... however, it is not showing the typical movement that was associated with the infamous Google 'dance'. Things are (and have been) changing (with Google) and until we 'see' what is going on it is hard to discuss it. I will create a post when I feel comfortable sharing any knowledge/opinion I grasp.

SEO thoughts:
Not in Google index … new site?
Your biggest obstacle against obtaining a descent rank on any search engine is the fact that you have no body text on your index page. Well you do have some: © Copyright 2003 Martin Motorsports, Inc. All rights reserved. Website designed and developed by …. Hosting by …, but that is it.
Adding 'real' text will make a big difference.
I usually give three to four distinct recommendations but the body text issue is so overwhelmingly important that you need to focus on that one first.
Note: you have too many keywords listed in your Meta Keywords tag.
What do you think are the most relevant keywords? List them in order.

Oh, a quick note:
Would love to see 'Hosting by TCH' changed to a link with the wording 'Web Hosting by Total Choice Web Hosting'.
Thank you
