Actually, you most likely will not loose any email. Once you purchase a package here, you will be given a link to access your new site, until the dns changes are finalized. Set your web site up thru the link, and have it all ready to go, once the dns changes have propogated. You will continue to check your email at your old host until the dns change has propogated. I would suggest that you continue to check your email on your present server, every minute. That way, you may not loose any email. Of course, you *might* loose a few messages, depending on when you isp updates it's name servers. Once your isp has the name servers updated, you wlll be logging into your site here, instead of your old host, and as each name server is updated, all your email and hits to your web site will be routed here as well. Chances are that you will not loose any email, and if so, only the ones that are received at the old host, and your isp has updated the name servers, and you cannot access the old host.

The total bandwidth that is included in your package will include all data transferred in and out of your site, including email. If we can be of further assistance, just let us know.

Great! We look forward to adding you to our growing family! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I'm not sure about the remote linking, but you can use Outlook Express for your mail client without any problems, pointing it to mail.******. However, I believe the linking will work.

Thanks for the kind words! We are glad to have you on board, and if there is anything we can help you with, just let us know!

Yes, index.htm or index.html will work fine!
-
Great....that means that it was correctly added. You should have (in the public_html directory) a new folder called photos, and if you open that photos folder, this is where you upload the files for new subdomain. Your doing great!
-
The subdomain option should be already on your account. When you went to add it in the C-panel, and clicked on the "manage sub domains' did you get to a page "Sub domain maintentane"? This is where you add the sub domain. When you entered the name, what did it tell you?
-
Youi go to your C-panel, and click on the "Manage Sub domains" link in the "Domains" section, and add the name of the subdomain. It will automatically create the subdirectory in the public_html folder. You upload all files for the sub domain in the public_http/subdomain folder.
-
Great! I am glad you have got it to work. Explain exactly what you are wanting. Do you have another domain name you want to add to this one, or are you wanting to set up a link in your website to your photos?
-
We were all a noobie once! First, get your website uploaded, and make sure you can get to it. Have you did that yet? After you get one issue resolved, then try to resolve the subdomain issue. Do you see your site yet?
-
Yes....just pretend the other folders do not exist Upload your web site to the public_html directory. Any additional directories need to me made while you are in the public_html directory (for example, if you have your images in a separate folder).
-
The only folder you need to upload your site to is the public_html folder. If you put your complete website in the public_html folder, it will show up on the internet. If you need to make any additional directories for your web site, make sure you make them in the public_html folder. Are your pages showing up?
-
Check you links to verify they are correct

Check to see if you are already fixed
