  1. I believe there is a limit of 50 emails per 300 seconds lapse time. If you are doing a Large mailing ( as you say) this could be the problem. I'm sure some TCH expert will confirm this. (to eliminate spammers)
  2. This is weird..I also just tried to send mail from webmail to my 2 hotmail accounts and nothing arrived!!! I then tried it from outlook express to my hotmail accounts and again nothing...this is weird... Yuck! youneverknow
  3. goodgulf ...I have been with TCH for about 4 months and their servers are FAST!!! If you read some of the posts here you will RARELY see anyone complain about slow servers....TCH does care and it's FAST everytime I go to my sites.
  4. Three Cheers for Bill (Head Guru) for being the BEST owner of a hosting company on the WWW. To turn away new customers so that the existing client base did not suffer is very rare in businsess today. I know this has been said in other posts, but I just couldn't keep this inside myself any longer!!! TCH truly does CARE Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
  5. Good looking site...on the photomontage page I only see one photo of the children...the picture on the left has a little 'x" in the box. Probably just a simple file name problem or the jpg in the wrong folder. Anyway good luck youneverknow
  6. Tim 389 Great site There is a problem with the 'Handwrap>Stretch film page. ( http://www.4tce.com/sku_item.php?sku_gp_id...=Stretch%20Film When you click on the "more info button" I get a java script error...no pop up window like all the other pages. Just thought you should know...there could be other pages similarly errored but there are too many products to check them all...a good couple of hours work! youneverknow

  8. http://arstechnica.com/news/posts/10747940...up%2001-23-2004 Here is part of the article: So-called 'Google bombing' is easily Google's #1 problem. What is it? In general, Google bombing is the practice by which people "trick" Google into displaying search results much higher than they should be. Less than a trick and more of a way of exploiting how Google calculates relevance, such bombing practices are what are responsible for the hordes of useless, usually commercial results you get when search for some common items these days. Let's say you wanted to stay at the Copley Square Hotel in Boston. If you go to Google and search on that exact phrase, the first item you get is the actual hotel (followed by a bazillion ads). But let's say that you type in Copley Square Plaza, instead. Bingo, no actual Hotel listing, but dozens of links to third party sites trying to book the Hotel for you. It's a problem that is starting to affect tons of listings at Google, reducing its usefulness day by day. I have found google getting to be very commercial lately and harder to find my search quierries. Are you experiencing this also??? youneverknow
  9. It opened a cpanel box that I had to drag open...try holding your mouse to the extreme right and the cursor should turn into a double arrow..hold down the left mouse buttton to drag it to a larger window...it worked for me. youneverknow
  10. Here are the stats from Google's Zeitgeist Logs http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html )..A real store house of information on what Google keeps on all their search querries. Be sure to look at the bottom of the page for advanced information... Here is just a sample... Operating Systems Used to Access Google ~~~~~~ Oct/Nov, 2003 ~~~~~~ Windows XP 42% Windows 98 27% Windows 2000 19% Windows NT 3% Macintosh 3% Windows 95 1% Linux 1% Other 4% I wonder what Other (4%) out platforms Macintosh? Sun? youneverknow
  11. Has anyone at TCH addressed the problem with the FALSE uptime reports from Alertra? I ask this because yesterday server 26 went down for a significant amount of time. This also happened I believe on a different server a few weeks ago. Both times now TCH's Alertra stats has shown 100% uptime when we all know this not to be true. I feel that if these tools are installed and to be used by the customers, then they should be 100% reliable. This topic was brought up some weeks ago and got sort of the brush off (we are looking into it) from the TCH staff. Don't get me wrong...I think TCH is THE BEST Thumbs Up in customer service, but what is going on? YouNeverKnow Alertra Serever 26 link: http://uptime.alertra.com/uptime2?pin=760571&abrv=26
  12. Wow...thanks...I like the way you can click on the wheel on the right and get the in between colors...really cool Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
  13. If you are not expecting a large amount of traffic on your site I would start with the lower priced plan...you can always upgrade to silver...the 5.5 gigs of transfer is quite a lot...you can always go silver when traffic increases. It is very easy to monitor usage through the Cpanel...
  14. Just curious as to why the Alertra stats that TCH uses is showing 100% uptime on server 26. I thought there were major problems with that server in December 2003 and that the Head Guru ordered up a completly new server at a more responsible data center. Thumbs Up Here is a link to the stats for 26 http://uptime.alertra.com/uptime2?pin=760571&abrv=26
  15. Nice calendar...surfing around the site I found an error on the Links page...overlapping text and non clickable hyperlinks... http://www.troop312.com/links.html just thought you might want to pass this along to the web guy or is that you? Doug
  16. Doing a quick search brought this page up that shows fonts safe for most browsers go to this link http://www.i4image.com/resources_wsfont.shtml Doug
  17. What do you mean when you say Does wide open mean the discussion feature is enabled in FP? Thanks, Doug
  18. I believe Bill asked for a 36 hour ban on your uploads to your site. It will make their job a lot easier not to change the content of your site. I too have recommended TCH to people asking what host to use. TCH's total honesty and commitment to customer service is what sets this host as numero uno in my opinion... Rock Sign
  19. Thanks all, yes it is the Swen A virus. I have just sent a ticket to the support staff at TCH. Thanks for letting me know that this should be filtered out by the TCH servers.
  20. When I go to Horde mail I see messages that I know contain a virus. They appear to be the updates microsoft has released. Why are these coming to my catchall email? The 'To' field does not contain my domain but when I look at the message source I get this: Return-path: <youneve@server38.totalchoicehosting.com> Envelope-to: youneve@server38.totalchoicehosting.com Delivery-date: Fri, 19 Dec 2003 05:01:38 -0600 Received: from youneve by server38.totalchoicehosting.com with local-bsmtp (Exim 4.24) id 1AXINx-00063K-1n for youneve@server38.totalchoicehosting.com; Fri, 19 Dec 2003 05:01:38 -0600 Received: from [] (helo=mail.libertysurf.net) by server38.totalchoicehosting.com with esmtp (Exim 4.24) id 1AXINw-000639-2d for me@youneverknow.com; Fri, 19 Dec 2003 05:01:32 -0600 Received: from fiptqok ( by mail.libertysurf.net (6.5.033) id 3FD6BE8800C866CD; Fri, 19 Dec 2003 12:00:29 +0100 Date: Fri, 19 Dec 2003 12:00:29 +0100 (added by postmaster@libertysurf.fr) Message-ID: <3FD6BE8800C866CD@mail02.pds.libertysurf.fr> (added by postmaster@libertysurf.fr) FROM: "MS Corporation Technical Services" <xpgfdfswpmvo@newsletters_msn.com> TO: "MS Customer" <ojmux.ujoosr@newsletters_msn.com> SUBJECT: Latest Network Upgrade Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="bzvockzregzfdl" X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on server38.totalchoicehosting.com X-Spam-Level: * X-Spam-Status: No, hits=1.9 required=5.0 tests=HTML_MESSAGE, MICROSOFT_EXECUTABLE,MIME_HTML_NO_CHARSET,NO_DNS_FOR_FROM autolearn=no version=2.60 Secondly, is there a way I can block a email that has a certain file size?
