  1. Since the new forums have come alive, I see alot of old posts in the OPEN discussion forum. The old forum seemed to be more chronologically based and I only saw the newer posts unless someone added to and old post recently. Is there some setting I am missing? Thanks, youneverknow
  2. I just saw this ....... "Firefox 3.5.1, which Mozilla intends to deliver in mid-to-late July, will include fixes for at least three bugs and "topcrashes," the term the company uses to describe the frequently-reported crashes. Like many applications, Firefox asks users to report crashes by displaying a prompt after the browser goes down." Why do they release an unfinished product? youneverknow
  3. Been using it for awhile in the beta stage and no crashing. Seems to load pages fast too. youneverknow PS: I like your new Avatar Thomas
  4. Several out there to stream your videos/ Have you checked out Stickam or Bitgravity? I have not used them but I go to sites that stream video there. Also google still offers google video (not youtube) do some searching and I think you will find some video streamers out there youneverknow
  5. I have been using the beta of Firefox 3.5 and it seems very stable and faster too. I like the capability of clicking "+" in the tabs and seeing the last 6 pages you viewed. youneverknow
  6. I think that since TCH had a copyright notice on the chargeback indicates a partnership or at least some relationship with the domain company and as such, TCH should cough up the $50 bucks. This customer has been with you for 3 years.....come on.....my 2 cents... youneverknow
  7. that last update seemed to slowdown FF I hear this is a fix for that and the memory leaks they had fixed. youneverknow
  8. I got a 20 and have only played miniature golf never set foot on a green. youneverknow
  9. I thought the color coded cable idea suggested by Robertmcol was a great idea. I sort of do this in my little home network and it sure makes identifying individual components ins and outs more visual for troubleshooting purposes and equipment swapping. Thanks Bill for the shots of TCH server stacks...always fun to see where my money has been well spent my last 5 years or more with your fine company. Kudos to all on your team!!!
  10. http://www.spiegel.de/img/0,1020,1445713,00.jpg You see a photo like this and wonder how did it get this way? One would think that there could be a better way to hook up all these cables with something more consolidated. Tracing out a connection would be a nightmare youneverknow
  11. Here is what I found on the mozilla site: HTTP is the application-layer protocol that most web pages are transferred with. As part of the HTTP specification, servers can send redirects - an instruction that the browser should try to get the content from another URL. Because one URL could redirect to another and the other could redirect to the first, causing an infinite loop, a limit is placed on how many redirects can occur on one request. This preference controls that limit. When the redirection limit is reached, you will get one of the following messages: * The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete. Have you disabled or blocked cookies required by this site? NOTE: If accepting the site's cookies does not resolve the problem, it is likely a server configuration issue and not your computer. * Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked. Here is one fix found in a discussion forum: Open up FireFox Tools Options Click the + next to cookies Click Clear Click Exceptions and click Remove All Sites. DONE!
  12. I Don't know... but I would NOT CLICK THAT LINK you posted....youneverknow
  13. Why should I have to retain backups? My site has not changed in 5 years. I thought that TCH did backups on a regular basis. If something happened to your servers couldn't you rebuild the server with the redundancy you have in place. Let me know if I am wrong about this...youneverknow
  14. Is it the plan to eventually have all accounts hosted at the TCH in Michigan? youneverknow
  15. There is a new web site in Europe that displays European history of the arts. If you were to enter MOZART as a search query it would return 110 hits letting you listen to recordings and see other artifacts relevant to your query. Apparently the site is so popular that 10 million hits per hour is bringing down the site. (h**p://europeana.eu/portal/). Just out of curiosity what would TCH require to host a site this large or is this something that a company like google with their resources have to handle. Would it take hundred of thousands servers and a huge "pipe" of bandwith to keep up with demand? They say that by mid December they should have resources up to handle the demand. This is making headlines around the globe so I just thought I would propose this question youneverknow

  20. If you ever need to re-install xp on any computer the service pack will save you time because all the updates and patches for the last 4 or 5 years are on the disk. If I update xp through xp update service, it can take a very long time. I think there have been over 100 updates and patches you won't have to download from MS update site....so this CD can be a real time saver. Youneverknow
  21. Hey folks, here is an article on the steps needed to set up your storefront on the www. Some good info here... http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,23269...3129TX1K0000625 youneverknow
  22. I finally ordered the service pack 3 CD from MS...here is the North American order link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322389 About 1/3rd of the way down on that page is "how to obtain SP3" and then follow the links Cost was $3.99 plus $5.99 shipping and handling. youneverknow
  23. I have tried cuil and dislike it because the results leave a lot to be desired. But they can only improve. The 4hour search is much better. Its too bad that a search (4hoursearch) of Total Choice Hosting on page 2 center colum brings up a nasty review of TCH which too bad. TCH has a very high consumer approval which is seen in these forums. youneverknow
  24. This is funny... http://www.worth1000.com/contest.asp?conte...splay=photoshop youneverknow
